Very cool. Interesting idea that eating the brain provides images and memories of the victim.
Helen says
Ooo very creepy. The main Character sort of repels me and yet I like him too. Cool idea to eat the memories of one attacker to find the other.

Yup – really good. The tone was perfect. My favourite images were the angry scratches and the rotting vocal chords.

What a wikkid story. Love the twist on the superhero story. Fabulous. Cool idea that a zombie sees the memory of the person through eating the brains.

Wow! Well done. Is there more to this character’s story/world I can get caught up on? This flash has left me seriously wanting more!

This is wonderful! I really enjoyed reading it! It’s creepy and yet you can’t help liking the zombie “hero,” depsite his brain fetish. 🙂
ganymeder says
GREAT story! Words cannot express how much I love this!
John Wiswell says
Zombie Avenger, best friend or nemesis of the Toxic Avenger? Either way the ghostly crimefighter with “dead weight” behind its fists is very amusing for me. Maybe “Dead Weight” could be the name of a sidekick?

Okay this is made of epic awesomeness! God, can this be a series? LOVE IT!

Terrific, you can’t go wrong with superheroes and zombies!
Chad says
Nice. Great language. Great pacing. I dig the zombie superhero idea. And the whole eating a part of the brain and being able to see what the attacker saw throughout his day is pretty genius.
Spot says
Zombie superheroes? What’s next Zombie heartthrobs? I do believe you could pull it off!
Great flash! Unique story idea, interesting character and I love the bit about eating the brain giving him access to the victims memories.

Your best story yet and by far the best zombie story I have EVER read.
Sub this to Weird Tales or something like that because everybody needs to read this.

So full of awesome. I can’t put together the words. Amazing.

And the voice slays this one, er, sorry–the lack of voice? This is so right on so many levels–from the dirty cape to the whole marvel comics last paragraph. YOu’re twisted, but in such a good way.
Timothy P. Remp says
And I just saw ‘Captain America the First Avenger’ …LoL Your story reminds me of Marvel’s Zombies saga they had going years ago. Very well done!

Leave it to you to create a zombie super hero. Unexpected and awesome!
Aidan Fritz says
Fantastic. What I love about this flash is the twists on the premise you added. The opening seems to mix the idea of ghosts with zombies, which was a nice touch. However, I loved the reason why she eats the zombie at the end.
Icy Sedgwick says
Aidan – I don’t follow…why WHO eats the zombie at the end? No one eats the zombie.
Stephen says
“I have somewhere else to visit tonight.”
That would probably be Apartment 4B. For dessert.

Exceptional! Wonderful! Awesome! (ok, got to limit myself to three superlatives.) You need to find a good artist and turn this into a graphic novel!
Clive Martyn says
I shall just go for one superlative – awesome 🙂 x

lol – I cracked up at the Zombie Avenger – wonderful
Stephen says
Hi there Icy — I loved his being buried in his Superman stuff, lumbering into ‘attack position’ and the rather chilling ‘brain reading’. While I sometimes wonder how the ‘sneakers of good’ cannot outrun the ‘shambling of evil’, in this case I can see how this dude might not be stopped. Great reading something from the Z-perspective. Writing with brrrraaaains…
