These three interwoven stories explore the infamous Dead Man's Hand of cards.

weird western

In Part I, Edmund Rothers encounters a gambler with a grudge in nineteenth-century Kansas. In Part II, one of his descendants discovers the perils of online gambling in the twenty-first century. In Part III, a legendary gunslinger learns the true extent to his legacy across a century.

I've read exactly two Westerns, and they have both had supernatural elements. Icy's "Dead Man's Hand" follows a string of mysterious deaths of poker players who get dealt the "Dead Man's Hand" (so-called because Wild Bill Hickok held the same cards when he was shot in the back). It's structured as several connected short stories, or vignettes, or flash stories if you like. The last piece wraps up the mystery and brings it to a most satisfying conclusion.
